Guest Rooms

As one of the flagship Halls of Residence in NUS, Temasek Hall is nested near the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and NUS Business School. Temasek Hall is also easily accessible from many parts of NUS via the internal shuttle bus service.

More than a mere place of residence, Temasek Hall is also home to a great tradition of activity and achievement that seeks to make the stay of each resident an enriching experience.

* Meals can be consumed in the communal hall where payment can be made to the caterer directly.

Reservation of rooms must be made at least one week in advance. A non-refundable deposit of S$80.00 and S$90.00 for Single and Twin occupancy respectively is required upon booking.

1. Guest Room Facilities

Contemporary in design, the six (6) guestrooms in Block A of Temasek Hall are warm and inviting, with all the necessary business conveniences and comforts of home. Each air-conditioned guestroom can offer up to two (2) single beds, a lavish bathroom with hot water shower, and its furniture fully furnished and fitted. Other facilities include computer data ports, telephones, satellite/cable TV, mini-fridges, executive writing desk and tea/coffee making facilities.

2. Check-in/Check-out Hours

Check in time – after 12 noon (Mondays to Sundays including Public Holidays).
Check out time – before 10am (Mondays to Sundays including Public Holidays).

Guests who are not able to check in during the office working hours are requested to make arrangement with the Hall Administration Office in advance, or, coordinate with the NUS department that makes the reservation on their behalf to collect the room keys.

The latest check out time will be at 10am and any extension of time will be charged accordingly. Guests checking out are requested to return the room keys to the office by dropping them at the office counter (left hand corner). Alternatively, you can place the keys on the dresser table and lock the room.

3. Payment

Guests are required to pay for the total cost of accommodation at the Hall Administration Office upon checking in. For guests who arrive after the normal office hours, payment must be settled on the next working day. Only Singapore currency in cash will be accepted for all payments.

4. Telephone

The phone in the room can be used for free local calls. As for overseas calls, a card phone located on the ground level of Block A can be used. Phone cards can be purchased from the nearby post office or NUS Co-op outlets.

5. Inventory List

The inventory list can be found in the file placed in your room. Guests are advised to check the items and report any damage or loss to the office upon checking in.

6. Laundry Service

The washing machine in the launderette is available for use at no charge. If personalized laundry service is needed, please inform the Hall Administration Office for the appropriate arrangements to be made. A fee will be charged for the service.

7. Common Facilities

Each residential block has a kitchenette, a TV lounge, a launderette, roof deck and semi-enclosed courtyard, and outside the blocks there are sports facilities such as squash court and basketball court, as well as other amenity such as a multi-function room.

Guests who would like to or need to make use of these facilities are requested to make a booking at the Administration Office. A nominal fee will be charged for the use.

8. Further Information

a. No refund will be made on accommodation once booking is confirmed.
b. Rates are subject to change without prior notice.
c. Although Temasek Hall has a security guard on duty during the night, guests are requested to take care of their personal belongings and their own personal safety in the Hall.
